Frankfort Circle Feeds the Poor
The Frankfort Circle of Associates met in August and plunged right into a special work of mercy—preparing 50 bag lunches for the poor. These special lunches were taken to Robbins, IL where some of our Associates have long volunteered to bring clothing and food—and a lot of hope and love—to the poor. On this day, Associates Cathy and Chuck Whittier, Arlene Smialek and John Barton left the Associate Circle meeting early to carry the compassion-packed lunches to Robbins. Even though not all the Associates were able to go, many commented that their thoughts and prayers went with those who were there—especially the children who would receive the bag lunches. The Frankfort Circle pledged to do this at least quarterly, modeling compassion in action!
